1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Display name
• Profile photo (optional)
• Phone number (optional)

Care Circle Data

To provide our caregiving coordination service, we store:

• Care circle names and member information
• Tasks and assignments
• Medication schedules and tracking
• Calendar events and appointments
• Updates, notes, and photos shared within circles
• Documents uploaded to care circles

Personal Wellbeing Data (Premium Feature)

If you use our wellbeing tracking feature, we collect:

• Mood, stress, and energy ratings
• Self-care activities
• Personal journal entries
• Self-care reminders

Important: Your wellbeing data is private to you and is not shared with other care circle members.

Device Information

We automatically collect:

• Device type and operating system version
• App version
• Push notification tokens (for delivering notifications)
• Timezone settings (for medication reminders)

Payment Information

Subscription payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment card details. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status from Apple.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Kinvelo service
• Enable care coordination between circle members
• Send push notifications for tasks, medications, and updates
• Sync events with your device calendar (if enabled)
• Generate care reports for medical appointments
• Improve and develop new features
• Respond to your support requests

3. How We Share Your Information

Within Care Circles

Information you add to a care circle (tasks, medications, events, updates) is visible to other members of that circle. This sharing is essential to the app's purpose of coordinating care.

Service Providers

We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google) - Authentication, database, file storage, and push notifications
• Apple - Sign in with Apple, App Store payments

We Do Not

• Sell your personal information to third parties
• Use your data for advertising purposes
• Share your data with data brokers
• Share your private wellbeing data with other users

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS
• Encryption at Rest: Your data is encrypted using AES-256 encryption on our servers
• Access Controls: Role-based security rules ensure you can only access data you're authorized to view
• Secure Authentication: We support Sign in with Apple and require strong passwords for email accounts

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:

• Your user profile is permanently deleted
• Your private wellbeing data is permanently deleted
• Content you created in care circles is deleted
• If you're the only admin of a care circle, that circle and all its data is deleted
• If other admins exist, you're removed from the circle but shared data remains for other members

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access: View all data associated with your account
• Export: Download your data at any time through the app's Settings
• Delete: Permanently delete your account and associated data
• Notifications: Control which push notifications you receive
• Calendar Sync: Enable or disable calendar synchronization

7. Children's Privacy

Kinvelo is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

8. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored on servers located in the United States through our use of Firebase services. By using Kinvelo, you consent to this transfer of data.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:

• Posting the new policy in the app
• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
• Sending a notification for material changes

10. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to know what personal information is collected
• Right to know if personal information is sold or disclosed
• Right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell your data)
